Overview
 
Families wishing to apply for subsidized childcare often experience a long wait before openings become available at approved childcare locations. Agencies typically collect applications for families looking for services in a common list and determine each family’s eligibility status. Families that are most eligible should be the first to receive childcare. These lists are usually maintained manually and quickly become unwieldy and outdated.
 
KinderWait is an Internet based system that provides agencies with the ability to dynamically add, modify, review and select families eligible to receive subsidized childcare. Once a selection has been made, KinderWait  provides those records in an export format so they can be imported into a third-party system for processing.
 
Streamlining Processes
 
KinderWait  manages the process of maintaining centralized eligibility lists. Agencies login to a secure Internet website and are granted rights to a specific area of the program, depending on their level of authorization. This enables agencies to provide secure system access to their staff, the childcare providers and even the families themselves.
 
Different agencies in a region can login to the system and view the families that are looking for care in their specific location. If there are openings with any of the providers they service, KinderWait will identify the families that are most eligible to fill those openings. Notices that need to be sent to families are automated.
 
Online Applications
 
KinderWait supports clients to access the system online, either via a web site accessible to the public, or via kiosks. Clients can enter their initial applications, and they can maintain the application data as it needs to be updated. The agency can always monitor client access and review client changes.
 
Reporting
KinderWait  includes powerful reporting options that enable agencies to track the numbers of families on their list and provide that data to state or local governments. All requisite forms and applications are included, some in multiple languages, further simplifying the agent’s tasks.
 
Audit Trail
 
Every change made in KinderWait  is stored in history tables to provide a complete audit trail of who changed a record and when that change was made.
