Glendale Unified School District Early Education and Extended Learning Programs:
Glendale utilizes the KinderWait and CenterTrack systems. This has allowed us to manage our enrollment for our subsidy and parent fee based programs. Currently we manage 4 different program on CenterTrack. We are able to run our state reports, monitor site attendance and enrollment, run tax reports for parents, monitor parent fees as well as managing eligibility types, transitions from preschool to kindergarten, and monitoring information to predict the constant effect of the state budget.

Our agency has been contracting for several years with Controltec. Our first experience with them was utilizing the KinderTrack system and then later, the KinderWait system. My relationship began with them when I was appointed as the Centralized Eligibility List administrator for Merced County, hence the system administrator for our KinderWait system. And, a relationship is truly what was formed. KinderWait user:
When I was asked to administer the KinderWait Centralized Eligibility List here in our agency, I was kind of nervous because I didn’t know at the time how difficult it would be. Now that I have been working with KinderWait for about two years now, well what can I say, “its a piece of cake!” Controltec has made my job so much simpler, the KinderWait program it’s easy to use and easy to understand. Steven and Laura have been the only two people from Controltec that I have had the honor to speak with and they are awesome; they are friendly and on top of what they do they fix any problem and answer any question that we have in a fast professional way. We started using Controltec in fall of 2006. The program works very well for our Center and makes our daily tasks much easier. Controltec staff has always been very supportive and friendly. We appreciate the fact that there is always immediate help when assistance is needed. Because our Center program differs in certain aspects from others we needed some features to be customized to fit our needs. Controltec staff worked closely and very cooperatively with our Center staff to change some of the forms which helps us now with our work to be more sufficient and less time consuming. I wanted to take a minute to tell you how happy we are with Center Track. We decided to look for a new Child Development information system when our old program was no longer meeting our needs. After looking at all of the available programs we chose Center Track because we felt the program was very user friendly and would allow us to improve our customer service. The first year had its challenges since we had to manually import all of the families into CenterTrack. We have been up and running for three months now and find the program to be everything we expected. The parent statements are clear and easy to understand. Since the program is web based it can be accessed from any center at any time. At each site we can now make changes to class lists, print sign in sheets, and see family information at the click of a button. We are looking forward to growing with the program while we learn to use even more of the features. Thank you for all your help and support during our implementation process.

Hi Norbert!
I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you and to tell you how much we appreciated Rob Bowlin going above and beyond during his personal vacation time to come here to Prince William County last week after our upgrade. It was a very productive day and even though we have been using KinderTrack for a little over two years now, we all learned several new things that will be definite time savers. Rob is very knowledgeable about KinderTrack and was very thorough and very patient with us asking a bunch of questions. He explained things so that everyone could understand and until everyone did! All of our KinderTrack users were at the meeting and they have all said at different times since then, how constructive and informative they found the meeting. Rob also sat with me in the afternoon at my workstation and was a huge help in walking us through certain things that were happening and also providing further explanation on some of the more complex processes and features that we have not been utilizing in KinderTrack up to this point. It was a great help to have this hands-on time to discuss these things with him rather than try to explain things to someone over the telephone.
Your staff has always been very helpful with anything that we have encountered with KinderTrack. Rob Hops has also been and continues to be a lifesaver to me in my role as System Administrator. He has provided assistance to me many, many times and is also very knowledgeable and patient in answering any questions that I have had concerning KinderTrack.

I feel very fortunate that I am working with a professional company. I was skeptical when the program we were using for our alternative payment program was bought by Controltec but you completely won me over. Mary Barnes is so wonderful about any problems we might encounter or with any suggestions we have. It always seems to be an easy fix. It was easy for us to choose our program for the CEL. After developing a trusting working relationship with Controltec, knowing that the product is updated in a timely manner to correspond with the regulations of our contract and that our calls were returned, we choose KinderWait for our delivery system for our county Centralized Eligibility List.

For example, our initial training sessions were scheduled with a lot of flexibility to meet our and our partners’ needs, were non-threatening and supportive, and yet were very thorough.
The KinderWait system itself not only supports our compliance as county administrator of the state mandated CEL, but also assists us in moving toward much needed standardization among more than a dozen partner agencies. KinderWait is simple enough for even unsophisticated computer users, and can even reinforce some elements of eligibility training for the staff of partnering agencies. What can I say about Controltec?? Who gets excited when a new computer system is going to be installed in your program? Not many people are ready for a technology change. I on the other hand was ecstatic to work with Controltec/CT program. I was ready for my program to be simple, manageable and save me time!!!! The Controltec staff has been supportive with my new transition. It has been over a year and I still have weekly contact with Controltec employees. I feel great to see the advancement my company has made while using CenterTrack. Entering attendance has never been more fun!!!! I still have some strides to make to have a complete implementation but I am getting there with the help of Controltec.
